...See the Salvation of The Lord - Exodus 14:13
Welcome to Our Passover Seder
Background
*The Threshold Covenant and its importance in understanding the Passover*
Gen 12:10-20 Abraham models the Exodus
Gen 15:14-14 Your seed will be enslaved, but I will bring them out
Gen 15:18 “I will give this land to your seed....”
Joseph went down into Egypt as a slave, but he became a great ruler. Jacob and the entire family went to live with him in Egypt.
Ex 1:8-14 But there was a new king who did not know Joseph. The new king forced them into slavery.
Ex 2:23-25 They cried out from their slavery and it went up to God. He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
Therefore say to the Sons of Israel; I am YHVH, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will deliver you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you to Myself as a people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am YHVH your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. So I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, adn to Jacob, and give it to you as an inheritance.
I am YHVH.
Exodus 6:6-8

Part 2
Yeshua / Jesus was taking part in a Passover meal with His disciples on the night He was betrayed.
Luke 22:20 - “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.” (compare to Ex 24:8 when Moses sprinkles the people with blood)
What is the new covenant?
Jeremiah 31:31 -
Behold, days are coming -- it is a declaration of Adonai -- when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah -- not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they broke My covenant, though I was a husband to them. --It is a declaration of Adonai. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days -- it is a declaration of Adonai -- I will put my Torah within them. Yes, I will write it on their heart. I will be their God and they will be My people.
Who is the new covenant that Yeshua spoke of at His final Passover for?
Israel and Judah
If that is true, how can WE be part of the new covenant?
Paul explains this beautifully!
Romans 11:17 - Gentile believers are grafted in to the commonwealth of Israel
Ephesians 3:6 - Gentile believers are joint heirs and fellow members of the same body and co-sharers of the promise of Messiah Yeshua
A Second Exodus?
Yes!
Jeremiah 15:14-15 & Jeremiah 16:7-8 -- The Prophet Jeremiah tells us that the next exodus will be so big that people will not even talk about the first one anymore…
What is the Second Exodus?
Isaiah 11:10-13 -- The Root of Jesse will stand as a banner / The Lord will again redeem - a second time - the remnant of His people / He will lift up a banner for the nations and assemble the dispersed of Israel and gather the scattered of Judah....
Who do we see included in this exodus?
Israel and Judah
The most important questions of the evening?
Are you grafted in?
Are you covered by the blood of the new covenant?
Is the Torah written on your heart?
Yeshua/Jesus is not concerned with our DNA
He is concerned with whether or not we are in covenant.
We accept His covenant by faith. Then because of faith, we live in obedience.
Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8
“For you have been delivered by grace through trusting/faith, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift.”
Yeshua’s Last Seder
Luke 22:17-20
Then, taking the cup of wine, He blessed it, and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves.”
Also, taking a piece of matzah, He blessed it, and said, “This is my body, which is being given for you.”
He did the same with the cup after the meal, saying, “This cup is the New Covenant, ratified by my blood, which is being poured out for you.”
Prayer
May we eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
Yeshua’s Next Seder
Luke 22:16 - For I tell you, it is certain that I will not celebrate it again until it is given its full meaning in the Kingdom of God.
