Stop Waiting for Sukkot

Image
Hello Dear Friends and Readers!  What a surprising title you've clicked on today.   Stop waiting❓ Those of you who know me or have followed this blog for a while may be scratching your heads, but I promise, I have not changed my mind about the importance of Biblical Feasting for followers of Yeshua. While the title certainly was crafted to draw your attention, I will be most honored if you hang around and read my humble thoughts, as I have strung a few pearls together and would really like to share them with you. Like many of you, I have been brushing up on the soon coming Fall Feasts, and I've made some "new to me" connections about Sukkot.  Spoiler alert:  one of my connections is that, while we do have to wait for the calendar to flip to the season of our joy each year, we can ( and should ) be living in the spirit of Sukkot all year long...and I can prove it. Before we get to that, my first precious find during this season of study has been in the Psa...

Building Anticipation For The Party!

Hello Dear Readers!  Good to be with you as we near another one of YHVH's appointed times.   What are you doing to prepare? I put the above question out to a group recently, and I realized that many are not sure how to prepare for YHVH's appointed times.   For most of us, myself included, following YHVH's calendar is a new adventure.  Just knowing it exists feels like a real accomplishment!     I am no expert on the Appointed Times or in preparing for them, but I am glad to share a few ideas for getting started. 1) Study This is by far the most important aspect of celebrating YHVH's Appointed Times.  Find out what the Bible says about the feast days.  You can always find the beginning of a trail in Leviticus 23 .  Beyond that, doing a word search in Blue Letter Bible can help you find other places in the Bible where each feast is mentioned.  I recommend gleaning as much from scripture as you can about each feast be...

The Two Witnesses - Being Ready - An Afterglow

Image
Friends and Readers of my recent "Two Witnesses" series, I have had some additional thoughts to share.  As I have reflected on the series, I have remembered some things that I meant to share, but forgot.  I also want to address an issue that I still have uncertainty about.  It is never my intention to "win you over" to my way of thinking, but to bring you along on my learning journey.  I am going to share informally with you...as if you are reading this, you already have a lot of background knowledge on the subject, and are likely spiritually mature.  So, no baby steps here, just diving in. 1) The 1260 day of Revelation 11:3 :  I know some of you must be scratching your heads and trying to figure out how the 1260 days fit with my theory about Judah and Joseph being the 2 witnesses.  I want to be completely transparent with you in telling you that I do not have an answer for that.  It is on my "list" that I keep before YHVH.  He wi...

The Two Witnesses - Part 9: "By My Spirit!" Says The Lord

Image
Friends and Readers - What a wonderful time I have had asking questions, searching for evidence, and sharing conclusions with you during this series.  You gave me an  opportunity to make the case that Judah and Joseph are the two witnesses of Revelation 11 and Zechariah 4.  Thank you for reading and allowing me the privilege of presenting the possibility.   Joseph understands that Yeshua is The Messiah. Judah understands that Torah is still in effect. Before you get offended about the Torah statement... recall the verbiage of the New Covenant .   Each brother has a missing piece that the other needs. But one day - The brothers will agree... Joseph will understand that the Torah is still important and embrace it being written on his heart and Judah will understand that Yeshua is The Messiah and call Him back to reign.   The brothers will dwell together in unity -- Henei Ma Tov! And what will make it happen?  Who will make it happen? Th...

The Two Witnesses: Part 8 - What's The Fuss All About?

Image
Hello Friends and Readers😃   Whew!  We have really covered some ground!   If you are just arriving, you may want to go back and start from the beginning.   Click here to begin with installment #1 .   I have shared with readers that I believe Judah and Joseph are the 2 witnesses we have been looking for, and I have tried to help readers be able to identify them in our time.   In #7 , we learned that Judah is Judah, but that Joseph is...complicated.   Joseph is Israel, dispersed into the nations.  He no longer realizes that he is Israel.  He lives as the nations live...as gentiles live.  He may be your Christian neighbor or friend.  He may be of any religion, or of no religion.  He may be you.  He may be me.   You see, only The Father knows where His people have been scattered.   He knows when a sparrow falls , and He knows the number of hairs on our heads.   He knows where His people...His inheritance ...

The Two Witnesses - Part 7: Nobody Said There Would Be Math!

Image
Hello My Friends! Welcome back for Part 7 of The Two Witnesses.  Over the past 6 installments of this series, I have tried to: Explain why we are looking for 2 witnesses in a prophetic sense as related to the Feast of Trumpets  Make a case that upon their agreement that Messiah will return Examine possible "suspects" as to who these 2 witnesses may be Develop a scripture-based theory as to the identity of the 2 witnesses -- my theory being Judah and Joseph Define who these brothers are in our day - We are working through this now. And it has taken 6 blogs so far.  I greatly appreciate that you have come back for #7.   In this installment, we are going to revisit Genesis 48 and Romans 11 without all the technical talk .  While I will not be asking you to dig into Hebrew or Greek, I will be asking you to do some simple math .  Ready to get started?  Let's go! I'm going to begin this time with a graphic.  You can laugh.  It's not very ...
