  Hello Friends!  As I write today, I have been having a GREAT time celebrating and studying The Word with friends and family during the first few days of Sukkot 2020.  The good news about this feast is that it lasts 8* days, so even if you get a late start, you may still have time to participate.  Want to know how?  Let's go! First, I want to tell you that this feast has several names.  If you have not heard of Sukkot, perhaps you have heard of The Feast of Tabernacles or The Feast of Booths.  I have even heard it called The Feast of Tents.  The word "Sukkot" is a plural Hebrew word meaning "Tabernacles," "Booths," or "Tents."  I like to call it Sukkot, but you call it the name that you are most comfortable with.  Deal? Secondly, I want to tell you that during Sukkot, people dwell in sukkot.  Remember I told you that "sukkot" is a plural word?  Well the singular is "sukkah."  --There will not be a test.  I promise. ...

  Good to be with you again to speak very briefly about The Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah.  We learn of this appointed time in Leviticus 23:23-35 .   My desire in sharing with you is twofold:   I want to make you aware that there is a feast called Yom Teruah, and it is coming soon. I hope to inspire you to begin to study about and acknowledge it as part of your faith walk. If you have read this far, I've been somewhat successful!  You are aware.   Now...what? Glad you asked! Here are a few things I would like to share about this feast: Jews typically celebrate a holiday called Rosh Hashanah at the time of Yom Teruah.  Rosh Hashanah means "head of the year," and it is celebrated as the beginning of the new year.  There are a lot of layers to this...and I am not qualified to unpack them for you at this time.  Just be aware that you will hear much about Rosh Hashanah and the Jewish customs associated with it...but it is NOT the sam...

  Hello Friends and Readers!  Good to be with you once again as I do a bit of sharing about the "Fall Feasts."  The Fall Feasts are the appointed times, mentioned in Leviticus 23, that take place in Autumn each year.   I want to be transparent in telling you that I am not an expert or authority on any of YHVH's appointed times...Fall, Spring, or otherwise.  But... I am someone who went from not knowing that appointed times even existed a few years ago, to someone who now celebrates them.  As they are quickly approaching...want to learn and seek along with me?  Let's go! Good to be with you again dear readers!  I want to share a word with you that has been showing up in my life for a few months now. 🍃Restoration You see, that is what it is all about.  Soon, I believe that the words of Isaiah 11:12 will come to fruition, and YHVH will "assemble the dispersed of Israel , and gather the scattered of  Judah ."  ↩ Two different people groups, by the way.   Even today, I believe there are those "erecting road markers and signposts", and "setting their hearts toward the highway" (Jeremiah 31:20) for what will be called one of the most important events in history.  It is an event so big that YHVH will no longer be known as He "who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
