The Alpha and Omega
This is a special day, as it is both Passover and a weekly Sabbath. I especially looked forward to this day of rest because of the busyness of this particular week. What a joy to be commanded to rest today...thank you Father!
One of the things I like to do on days like this is get ahead on my bible reading. While reading in Isaiah this morning, I made a "new to me" discovery. I hope it will bless you, as it already has blessed me.
Scripture References:
Isaiah 41:4; 44:6, 48:12
Revelation 1:7-8; 1:17-18; 2:8; 21:6; 22:13
My guess is that most of us are familiar with Yeshua being the "Alpha and Omega" from scriptures in Revelation. But, did you know that The Father also referred to himself as "The First and The Last" in the book of Isaiah?
Check out the scripture references...I'll wait... 😉
The more I get to know my Bible, the more I realize how much the first half is quoted or referred to in the second half.
I especially like the connection between the verses in Isaiah and Rev 2:8. We can see that this clearly is a description of Yeshua.
And it is also a description of The Father from the passages in Isaiah.
More proof that The Father and The Son are Echad...or One.
His Word has so many gems there for our finding. Hoping you will find some gems in His Word today!
