Going Up to Ha Adamat Israel!
Have you heard? I am "going up" with a team to Israel...Lord willing...in a few months! As part of my preparations, I am studying the bible and taking part in a beautiful prayer group. We are searching the scriptures each week in order to pray them back to our Heavenly Father. This week I have come upon a beautiful scripture in Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 11:17-21 (partial)
Therefore say, thus says YHVH Elohim, "I will gather you from the peoples and collect you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. When they come there, they will remove all of its detestable things and all of its abominations. Then I will give them one heart. I will put a new Spirit within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, so that they may follow My laws, keep My ordinances and practice them. They will be My people and I will be their God."
Can I hear an AMEN? This is beautiful news!!
So, being a student of biblical Hebrew, I just had to look up a few words in my blue letter bible. (You can do this, too. It's a free website and/or phone app)
I was interested in the following:

So, being a student of biblical Hebrew, I just had to look up a few words in my blue letter bible. (You can do this, too. It's a free website and/or phone app)
I was interested in the following:
- "the peoples"
- "the countries"
- "the land of Israel"
So, here is what the Hebrew revealed:
- "The peoples" really means just that. The Hebrew word used is "ha am'im"
- "The countries" was a bit more interesting to me, but not a big surprise. The Hebrew word is "ha ahrazot" which literally translates as "the lands." It has the connotation as "the whole" as opposed to "the part." So, its use in the verse gives evidence that God's people have been scattered literally around the entire earth. (Makes me think of every tribe, tongue, and nation).
- "The land of Israel" got me pretty excited. Here's why: The land of Israel literally says "Et Adamat Israel." (The "et" cannot be translated, but it always comes before the direct object when used AND in my limited experience, always has something to do with The Messiah). So the direct object of this phrase is not Israel, it is "Adamat." Can you see the word "Adam" in that word? It is no coincidence. The Hebrew word "Adam" came to be known as "man" after the first man's name. But, he was named that originally, because "Adam" came from the soil. God created Adam from the soil in The Garden of Eden. Are you seeing why I got so excited? Referring to Israel as the soil of Adam gives a hint to us that the land of Israel is the previous location of The Garden of Eden. And this passage in Ezekiel confirms that YHVH will return His people Israel to the "Adamat" or The Garden! This. Is. Exciting. News!
Another thought that really excited me is that all humankind is from Adam. All humankind was created from the soil of The Garden in a sense. I am letting that sink in, but the implications simply overwhelm me.
You do not have to be fluent in Hebrew to study your bible in this way. All you need are a few free tools and the desire to go deeper. The Blue Letter Bible is a great place to start. You can read the bible there in many different English translations. And, you can look up any word in its original Hebrew or Greek with the click of a button. And. It. Is. Free. :) (They also have a free phone app which I use even more).
Please consider praying for our team as we prepare to "go up" to the Adamat of Israel. And if you are praying, please encourage me by letting me know. It will mean so much!! Thank you for reading, for your prayers, and your friendship. Shalom Chaverim!! Peace to you, Friends!!
